EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR SELECTION OF CONSULTANTS /
CONSULTING FIRMS / CONSORTIUM.

 

1.      The Government of Pakistan (GOP) has applied for a additional credit from the International Development Association (IDA) under Sindh On Farm Water Management (SOFWM) Project and intend to utilize part of the proceeds of this credit to pay for the Project Supervisory & Monitoring Consultancy services (Project Management Support, Engineering services, Designing & implementing a Productivity Enhancement, Training and Monitoring & Impact Evaluation).

 2.   Major Project Components.     

       Three (03) year Project includes three complementary components, which are given as under:

       A.Improvement of watercourses, B.Productivity Enhancement, C.Project Management Support.

 3.  The Director General, Agricultural Engineering & Water Management Sindh, Hyderabad now invites eligible consultants / firms / consortium to indicate their interest in providing the Services indicated above. Interested consultants / firms / consortium must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the Services. Brochures, description of similar assignments carried out by consultants / firms / consortium, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. is also to form part of proposal indicating interest. Consultants / firms / consortium may indicate associates to enhance their qualifications.

 4.   Expressions of Interest for this Project Supervisory & Monitoring Consultants assignment are being invited.

 5.  The consultants / firms / consortium will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank's Guidelines, Selection and Employment of Consultants by Bank Borrowers, May, 2004, revised October, 2006.

 6.  Interested Consultants may obtain further information from Background document at the address given below from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on any working day.

 7.   The Expression of Interest for the selection of consultants / consulting firms / consortium has been published in UNDB website i.e. http://procurement.dgmarket.com on dated 26-05-2009 and project’s website i.e. http://www.sofwmp.org.pk.

8.   Expression of Interest must be delivered to the address below by not later than June 16, 2009 upto 04:00 p.m.
